As usual FSR had loads of integrator tools to help end users route, manage and conceal “anywhere power, AV and data enter a room, whether the surface is the table, floor, ceiling or walls,” says director of global sales Chaz Porter.
One new low-profile solution is this floor wire management system, which integrators can quickly install on top of any flooring and employ its flexibility to run up to four 20-amp circuits, eight Cat 6A cables and 12 Cat 5e cables.
FSR makes the raceway available in 6-foot sections and color options of aluminum and slate powder. Porter also notes that aesthetics take into account ADA regulations that would have made the slope bulkier as the product added more height, so limiting it was key to keep things unobtrusive in terms of threshold.
“There are some other companies that make floor raceway systems, but nobody has really been able to put all the pieces and parts together,” says Porter.
“The first thing that’s critical is our height, which is just over half an inch. If you have any more height than this, what happens is the ADA changes the ratio of the slope that’s required for the transition. Our transition ramp is slim, so it makes things very compact.”
