NEC Display Solutions of America has launched its commercial grade C-Series displays, which it says offers thin depth and economic price while giving integrators a great option for digital signage and small meeting spaces or huddle rooms.

The C Series includes three models: the 43-inch C431, 50-inch C501 and 55-inch C551.

NEC says each of the new C Series models offers a mechanical depth of a mere 45mm and that the slender profile allows for a lighter design as well as unobtrusive mounting and easier accessibility in situations where ADA compliance is of importance.

NEC targets small meeting spaces and huddle rooms with its new C-Series Displays.

“We designed the C Series displays to support users who need full commercial capabilities and control in a stylish and aesthetically focused design,” says Ben Hardy, senior product manager for large screen displays at NEC, in a press release.

“We’re excited about the C Series because it provides the perfect fit for many retail, higher education, corporate and restaurant industry uses.”

NEC touts the C-Series Displays commercial-grade features, including:

  • Full bidirectional external control through both the LAN and RS232 interfaces, which enables easier integration into control systems
  • Capable of both landscape and portrait orientation, expanding the ways in which users can deploy them
  • Anti-glare screens that scatter incidental light and allow customers maximum visibility of the content being displayed on the screen, which is of utmost importance for digital signage applications
  • Optional IR touch overlay that will allow users to easily turn each display into a touchscreen for wayfinding and other interactive uses.

The C Series models can be ordered through sellers starting October 1 and will ship by early December 2017.
