What You Need to Know

  • Norxe will preview its first direct view LED (DVLED) display platform at IAAPA Expo 2026 and I/ITSEC 2026 in Orlando, Florida.
  • The platform supports frame rates up to 240Hz with low latency, ST 2110 IP video, and redundant power and video.
  • Pixel pitches will include 0.7mm, 0.9mm, 1.2mm and 1.5mm, with infrared diodes for night vision goggle training.
  • The display runs on Norxe’s Unify electronics and API platform and will be supported by Unify Display Manager, a pre-installation planning tool.
  • Norxe’s P55 and P60 projectors will appear on its own I/ITSEC booths and in three partner installations.

Norxe, the Norway-based manufacturer of simulation projectors, will show its first direct view LED (DVLED) technology in Orlando this month. The preview marks the company’s move from specialist projector maker to broader display technology provider.

What Is Norxe Previewing at IAAPA Expo and I/ITSEC 2026?

Norxe is previewing a new DVLED display platform built for high-frame-rate, low-latency applications such as simulation and immersive entertainment. The company will show a physical demonstration at both IAAPA Expo 2026 and I/ITSEC 2026.

This isn’t a finished product launch. Norxe calls it an early preview designed to gather feedback from customers and partners, who can bring input directly into continued development.

The preview also introduces the company’s new tagline, “Displaying new standards.” Norxe keeps its research and development, engineering and manufacturing in Norway.

What Specs Does the Norxe DVLED Platform Offer?

The Norxe DVLED platform supports frame rates up to 240Hz with low latency, ST 2110 IP video and redundancy for both power and video. It’ll be available in 0.7mm, 0.9mm, 1.2mm and 1.5mm pixel pitches.

ST 2110 support matters most on the install side. Because the standard carries video over network infrastructure, it reduces the cabling and associated equipment required in an installation.

For simulation, the platform supports night vision goggle (NVG) training through dedicated infrared diodes. Precise dimming control enables continuous time-of-day simulation, and the system will be compliant with the Trade Agreements Act (TAA), a common requirement for U.S. government projects.

How Does the Unify Platform Help Integrators Plan DVLED Walls?

Unify Display Manager lets integrators design the LED wall and plan its controllers, cabling and associated components before installation begins. That puts layout and infrastructure decisions earlier in the project, when changes cost less.

The display is built on Norxe’s Unify electronics and API platform. It shares that technology foundation with other Norxe products, so teams already working with Norxe projection won’t be starting from scratch on the control side.

Why Is Norxe Expanding From Projection Into Direct View LED?

Norxe is expanding into DVLED because it sees display performance, not display type, as the deciding factor in demanding applications. Espen Olsen, vice president of global sales at Norxe, makes clear that the company isn’t stepping away from projection.

“Norxe has always focused on the complete image and what is required to produce it reliably in a demanding application,” Olsen says. “Projection remains a major part of what we do, but it is the performance of the display that ultimately matters.”

He adds that DVLED gives the company another place to apply what it’s built for simulation. “Direct view LED allows us to apply our experience in high frame rates, low latency, night vision, color management and system reliability to another display technology,” Olsen says. “This is deliberately an early preview. We want customers and partners to see the direction we are taking and bring their feedback directly into the engineering process.”

How Does the DVLED Platform Apply to Dark Rides and Immersive Attractions?

The DVLED platform gives attraction designers a Norxe display option for spaces where projection isn’t the best fit. Simulation remains the primary focus, but Norxe sees clear crossover with visitor attractions.

Dark rides and immersive experiences share many of the same requirements as simulators. Those include accurate color, convincing motion, deep black levels and reliable operation.

Which Norxe Projectors Will Be Demonstrated at I/ITSEC 2026?

Norxe will demonstrate its P55 and P60 projector platforms across several simulation configurations on its own I/ITSEC booths. Each setup pairs a projector with a specific image generator and frame rate.

  • A P60 8K n-shift IR will run at 240Hz with the FlightSafety VITAL image generator.
  • A P60 4K IR will show native 4K at 240Hz with Nucleus.
  • A Nucleus-powered P55 8K n-shift IR will operate at 6K n-shift and 120Hz.

Which Partner Installations Use Norxe Projectors at I/ITSEC?

Norxe projectors will power three partner installations on the I/ITSEC show floor. Together, they’ll show the projectors working with different image generators, frame rates, resolutions and display geometries.

  • Electric Picture Display Systems and Scalable Display Technologies will present a three-channel P60 4K IR system on Booth 1201.
  • Q4 Services will use seven P60 8K n-shift IR projectors, operating at 6K n-shift, to power a front-projected spherical display on Booth 1821.
  • Perception will feature seven P55 8K n-shift IR projectors in its DRACO dome, covering six main display channels and a dedicated HUD channel on Booth 719, 3D.

For integrators, the partner booths offer a chance to compare the same projector platforms across very different display builds in one visit.

Where Can You See Norxe at IAAPA Expo and I/ITSEC 2026?

You can see Norxe at booth S207 during IAAPA Expo 2026 and at booths 1815 and 1915 during I/ITSEC 2026. Both shows take place in the South Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

  • IAAPA Expo 2026: Nov. 16-20, Booth S207
  • I/ITSEC 2026: Nov. 30-Dec. 4, Booths 1815 and 1915

If you’re specifying displays for simulation or immersive attraction projects, the preview is your chance to evaluate the platform early and shape where its engineering goes next.
