Renkus-Heinz Reveals Expansive Lineup for ISE 2024

Published: 2024-01-17

Renkus-Heinz, the Foothill Ranch, Calif.-based loudspeaker manufacturer, announced its attendance at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE 2024) from Jan. 30 through Feb. 2 at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via venue in Barcelona, Spain.

Per the company, ISE 2024 attendees will have the opportunity to experience The Sound Solution from Renkus-Heinz in person at booth #7C700. Here, Renkus-Heinz will exhibit various systems for attendees. These include the ICLive X Series and Iconyx Compact Series from the flagship line of digitally steerable arrays, the UBX Series of passive column loudspeakers and the OmniBeam beam-steering software.

Members of the global Renkus-Heinz team, including Ralph Heinz, CTO; Brandon Heinz, product manager; Karl Brunvoll, VP of international sales; and many more will be on the show floor ready to answer any questions.

“ISE is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our global partners and customers each year,” says Brunvoll. “We’re looking forward to sharing our latest innovations, including OmniBeam, which is making its European debut after premiering at InfoComm last year.”

“This year’s ISE show is particularly exciting for the Renkus-Heinz team with OmniBeam as our star — it really is a game-changer,” adds Michal Poplawski, export marketing director. “It revolutionizes our brand in terms of the kind of spaces we can address. We look forward to connecting with our customers about how we can meet their needs and help them take control of their sound.”

OmniBeam

With OmniBeam, Renkus-Heinz says it aims to change the perception that beam steering is knowledge and time-intensive — for niche applications only. The new algorithm is thus the culmination of decades of expertise in steerable technology, says the company. It replaces the previous “best-fit” algorithm to now deliver sound and coverage for 100% of venues with less time and knowledge required than ever before.

According to Renkus-Heinz, the end result is custom-tailored coverage precisely dialed into the exact geometry of each space. Thus, it allows for the most consistent front-to-back audio experience possible. Equally important, OmniBeam allows integrators — regardless of their level of expertise — to achieve great results with minimal effort, every time. The all-new algorithm thus generates ideal FIR coefficients for every unique venue, delivering faster, better and more consistent results than ever before with less time and knowledge needed.

The unique coverage programmed for each specific application is a suitable solution for music and live sound applications, says Renkus-Heinz. The uncertainty that comes with live performances requires a user-friendly, adaptable system. Here, OmniBeam can work flawlessly with any venue, any performance and any user, the company adds.

ICLive X Series

According to the manufacturer, as the intelligent evolution of the small-format line array, the ICLive X Series represents over 15 years of research and development of digital beam-steering technology. With the ICLive X Series, Renkus-Heinz says it created a compact, high-output and high-fidelity integrated system to meet the needs of nearly any live sound environment. Thus, it is suitable for both, portable and performance-based fixed installations.

The ICLive X is a scalable sound system: each mid-sized ICLX module can stand alone or be arrayed with up to 12 units to deliver precise and predictable coverage for any venue. The complementary ICLX-118S subwoofer adds powerful low-frequency energy to any ICLive X system. Additionally, a wide range of rigging and cabling accessories help simplify integration and deployment of the ICLive X Series. With flexibility, coverage and beam-steering technology, the ICLive X Series offers peak sound performance in a versatile, sleek design, says Renkus-Heinz.

UBX Series

The UBX Series brings Renkus-Heinz’s sound quality and coverage into the realm of passive arrays, per the company. With this, it creates more opportunities for AV contractors, consultants and sound system engineers to craft the ideal sound solution for their projects. Utilizing the same complex steering algorithms as Renkus-Heinz’s flagship ICONYX columns; the UBX Series’ new Passive UniBeam Technology delivers pristine sound and consistent coverage with minimal distortions or side lobe artifacts.

According to Renkus-Heinz, the UBX Series hardware addresses each transducer with specially designed all-pass filter networks, gain shading and frequency filtering in order to generate a downward steered asymmetrical vertical lobe with constant directivity — resulting in unmatched coverage and speech intelligibility from the front of the room to the back.

Available in three weather-resistant sizes — UBX4, UBX8 and UBX16 — all UBX Series models feature an ultra-sleek, unobtrusive cabinet that can be surface-mounted plumb to the wall to ensure minimal architectural intrusion in any space.

Iconyx Compact Series

The Iconyx Compact Series brings the performance and directivity synonymous with Renkus-Heinz to spaces where even the classic ICONYX arrays might be too large. With an ultra-narrow profile and exceptional directivity control, Iconyx Compact is well-suited to even the most architecturally sensitive houses of worship, transportation hubs and educational facilities requiring the outstanding performance and high intelligibility of beam-steered line arrays.

ICONYX Gen5 Series

As part of the ICONYX Gen5 Series of digitally steerable loudspeaker arrays, the IC8-RD combines digital control and steering with high audio fidelity. This model also features dual redundant Dante connectivity and the RHAON II System Manager — the second generation of the Renkus-Heinz Audio Operations Network software — to bring a new level of flexibility and control to ICONYX installations. The IC8-RD easily stores and recalls up to 10 configuration presets. With a slim, low-profile design and powerful audio abilities, the IC8-RD is ideal for houses of worship, stadiums and arenas, transportation terminals and other reverberant spaces.
