Boston-based ZeeVee will introduce its full-featured ZyPer4K encoder and decoder wall plates at ISE 2023. Per the company, it enables quick connections of sources and video monitors in AVoIP-driven systems on walls, podiums, conference tables and other fixed position locations.
Both models feature 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports for general purpose device attachment to a network. According to ZeeVee, the ZyPer4K wall plates also have audio input and output jacks to drive line-level stereo audio. They can distribute content via HDMI 2.0b and USB-C, as well as USB 2.0. Here, the ZeeVee ZyPer Management Platform (ZMP) helps with the configuration and routing. A video-select button on the encoder wall plate enables users to choose either HDMI or USB-C video inputs when connected.
“In many environments, such as classrooms, conference rooms and event spaces, it is desirable to keep the critical AV system gear required — including signal distribution encoders and decoders — out of the way and out of sight,” says Joe Chordas, VP North American sales and corporate marketing, ZeeVee. “Our ZyPer4K wall plates accomplish this without limiting the flexibility and performance for today’s growing list of applications requiring superior AVoIP signal distribution solutions.”
The encoder and decoder wall plates feature IR-IN, IR-OUT and RS232 control ports. These enable two-way infrared command information and side-band serial traffic distribution as configured by the ZMP.
The back of both the encoder and decoder wall plates provide a power port for connecting 24V DC power via a Phoenix connector, as well as a 10Gb copper (PoE) port for Ethernet connections over Cat6a (or better) cabling.
