We recently did a webcast, “6 Reasons Integrators Should Be Selling Broadband Services,” focusing on the Almo CONNECT service that lets Almo Pro A/V dealers sell broadband connectivity from major telecom companies like Comcast and Time Warner directly to their customers — and earn recurring revenue.
Well, distributor Almo Professional A/V has added a few more reasons to that list now that it has added new security and video surveillance expansions — as well as new wireless options — including 24/7 video surveillance through the new Comcast Business SmartOffice Solution.
Almo Pro A/V will showcase the additions to Almo CONNECT during its E4 AV Tour stops in New Jersey, September 19, and Irvine, Calif., on October 3.
From an Almo Pro A/V press release on the Almo CONNECT additions:
Almo partners can now offer 24/7 video monitoring and video surveillance for their customers through the new Comcast Business Smart Office Solution. Smart Office offers hardwired HD-quality cameras at the property and instant mobile access so owners can monitor their workplace from anywhere, while recording up to 30-days in the cloud.
Additionally, through a new partnership with Comm-Core, Almo CONNECT can provide full security and surveillance systems, including 24/7 alarm monitoring services such as door contacts, window breaks, motion sensor, roller door sensors, along with a suite of smart technologies that integrate through a DSC Neo Alarm Panel.
At the same time, Almo CONNECT now features a partnership with MetTel Mobile, a top wholesaler of AT&T, Verizon and Sprint wireless services, to provide more support and better end user pricing.
Almo Pro A/V business development manager Rob Voorhees leads the Almo CONNECT program. He says the video surveillance and wireless enhancements open up significant revenue opportunities for integration partners.
“Through the addition of these security & surveillance options, we can now offer our Almo CONNECT partners a range of basic to full-featured choices so they can further customize these services for their customers’ installations,” Voorhees says in the press release.
“And because of our partnership with MetTel Mobile, those customers will receive the same great service they are accustomed to through AT&T, Verizon and Sprint except now they will also receive complimentary monitoring, reporting and back office management along with a substantial savings off their wireless services.
“Along with providing more depth to the Almo CONNECT service, the inclusion of these options also gives our partners more potential for recurring revenue with each integration project.”
More from the press release on Almo managed services:
Almo is the first distributor in the industry to create a path for resellers to expand their reach through managed services. Through Almo’s CONTENT CREATION Services, digital content creation can be offered as part of the initial installation and ongoing maintenance package to build revenue, margins and customer relationships. Partners can heighten earning potential with INSTALLATION Services by “white labeling” them as their own from Almo’s well-vetted, highly trained installation services staff. Almo CONNECT was initially introduced to give resellers reliable, scalable and robust bandwidth for internet, live TV and advanced voice. And Almo CONTROL Services provides partners support with control system and DSP programming for AMX, ClearOne and Crestron.
