AVPro Global Holdings’ Marketing Director Tom Devine recently sat down with Commercial Integrator to talk about AVPro’s TAA-compliant, AV-over-IP (AVoIP) products for integrators working in command-and-control room environments. Here, he underscores stability, reliability and interoperability in these mission-critical environments.

AVPro’s TAA-compliant products are manufactured in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and come with a 10-year warranty. The company’s AVoIP solutions distribute not just audio-video signals but also Ethernet, USB and control signals throughout a network. The option to use fiber optics for video distribution provides benefits like reduced EMI and better data flow, with flexibility for integrators to choose between copper and fiber, says Devine.

AVPro Edge’s MXNet ensures instantaneous switching between sources without dropouts — a feature crucial for mission-critical environments. The MXNet ecosystem allows users to choose any source for any display, with multiple layout options. Thus, it has been deployed in various mission-critical applications, including large car washes and government facilities like the Utah Department of Transportation. The Utah Department of Transportation uses AVPro’s technology to manage thousands of IP cameras, providing real-time video feeds to ensure safety on highways. AVPro’s products have been trusted for over a year by the Utah Department of Transportation, with positive feedback and plans for future deployments.

AVPro’s support team, consisting of CTS-certified individuals, focuses on solving installation problems rather than basic troubleshooting. AVPro’s testing facility allows for duplication of real-world scenarios, ensuring quick and effective solutions for integrators. The company’s support is overseen by engineers who developed the products, providing in-depth knowledge and expertise.

This conversation, of course, stems from CI’s Command and Control Deep Dive Report, which launched this month online. In addition, it appears in the August print edition of Commercial Integrator + Security Sales & Integration. In the Deep Dive report and here, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of emerging trends, drawing on the thought leadership of category leaders.
