AVI Systems to Acquire Texas-Based Onsite AV Service Partners

Published: 2022-02-15

AVI Systems (AVI) announced it will acquire Austin, Texas-based Onsite AV Service Partners (Onsite AV). The privately owned Onsite AV has served Austin-area audiovisual needs since 2004. During that time, it has sought to earn a reputation for loyal relationships with customers and staff. AVI, meanwhile, is of course one of the largest technology systems integrators in the U.S.

Jeff Stoebner, CEO of AVI, speaking of Onsite AV, cites “…the solid reputation the company has and the scope of services their skilled employees deliver to customers.” Therefore, he said, AVI is excited about the acquisition. Stoebner draws attention to the firm’s existing employees in Austin and the additional resources that AVI can bring to the business. He concludes, “I’m confident we’ll quickly grow to serve a diverse customer set in the Austin-San Antonio corridor.”

AVI’s Acquisition, Onsite AV, Has a Clear Vision

Shelly Cox and Karla Samaripa launched Onsite AV with a clear vision. Specifically, they wanted to deliver customized audiovisual solutions with a heavy focus on service. Thus, they wanted to position themselves to fit individual client needs. By now, they have, in fact, spent 18 years in business together. During that time, they’ve witnessed dramatic growth, collaborative system development and numerous technological advancements.

“We’ve enjoyed building this business, and we’re excited about the opportunity to be part of AVI,” Samaripa enthuses. In fact, she declares, the combined organization will become the premier systems integrator in Texas and the U.S. “AVI presents a unique growth opportunity that we want to share with our clients and our employees,” Samaripa continues. “The AV industry is one to watch because it’s so instrumental in enabling hybrid work, helping organizations communicate their messages and enhancing productivity.”

Both Cox and Samaripa will maintain involvement in the business. Indeed, they will be employees at AVI, reporting to Robby Turner, AVI’s area vice president, serving Houston, Austin and San Antonio, Texas. All existing Onsite AV staff will also become AVI employees, joining the company and its 700-plus employee owners. The current Onsite AV facility, located in Round Rock, Texas, will become AVI’s primary branch office in the area. Thus, the company will be well positioned to support Austin and surrounding communities.

With this acquisition, AVI now has offices in 23 cities across the U.S. The company is also the U.S. regional business unit of the GPA. Therefore, AVI is well positioned to serve large, multi-national organizations around the world.

Closing of the Onsite AV acquisition will occur around April 1.
