Don’t Ignore Ambient Noise A particularly attractive feature in bar restaurant installations is the ability to have the system monitor ambient noise and automatically adjust the gain up or down, depending on occupancy and how loud they are. This adjustment is set at installation to determine ceilings and floors for levels, and uses a microphone in the room to do the actual measurement. In this type of installation, the gain adjustment is set to gradually move so that it’s not readily apparent to the customers.
