Tech Me Out to the Ballgame

The Seattle Mariners became the first Major League Baseball team to incorporate LED lighting in the main area of the park. They’re hoping to eliminate glare and shadows and enhance how Safeco Field looks when fans watch on TV. They’ll also cut electricity consumption as much as 60 to 70 percent and increase the life of the bulbs to 50 years, compared to three or four with the old ones.
