Michael Boettcher Joins EDGE as President

Westminster, Colo.-based EDGE, formerly USAV, has appointed Michael Boettcher as its president. Per the company, Boettcher brings over 20 years of audiovisual industry experience to EDGE’s team. He most recently served as president of Global VC — U.S. Division of New Era Technology.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike to the organization,” says Matt Barnette, CEO of the PSA Network and EDGE. “We have aggressive growth goals for our AV division and Mike will be instrumental in achieving them. His years of industry experience and deep understanding of an AV integrator’s challenges make him an excellent asset.”

Propelling Forward

According to a statement, EDGE bonds low voltage systems integrators together as an elite industry team. It has integrator members throughout the world, partnerships with top AV manufacturers, distributors and service providers. It also fosters alignment with leading industry associations.

“I am really excited to join this great team,” says Boettcher. “I have been involved with the group for over a decade including serving on the Dealer Advisory Council (DAC) and look forward to strengthening the relationships fostered during those years and building new ones that will propel EDGE through the next decade.”

During Boettcher’s tenure, New Era Technology received recognition as a Top 50 Systems Integrator by SCN, Top 100 CRN Service Provider, ranked on CRN’s 2020 Fast Growth 150 List and an Industry Leader by Commercial Integrator. New Era also received AVIXA’s elite APEx certification for industry excellence.

Boettcher previously served as president of NSCA and has been on the board of directors since 2014. Additionally, he served as DAC chairman for USAV and is an AVIXA member with a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) designation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Villanova University.

He joins the EDGE team comprised of seasoned industry veterans: vice president, Patrick Whipkey, and director of business development, Cheryl Walton. EDGE now boasts over 90 integrators who collectively generate over $2 billion annually in gross revenue. According to the company, it has integrator presence in over 40 countries and partnerships with 250 technology solutions providers.
