Herman and Harman Professional Solutions Enter into Distribution Partnership

Published: April 16, 2018

Herman Pro AV has entered into a distribution partnership with Harman Professional Solutions that will deliver unique solutions for customers along all stops on the AV integration channel while creating some fun opportunities to play off their quite similar brand names.

“We are thrilled to partner with Harman,” says Jeffrey Wolf, executive VP at Herman, in the joint press release.

“Their family of brands have set the standard in our industry, and they provide us with a significant addition to our product offering. The Harman partnership is very strategic and enables us to further deliver value and benefit to our integrator partners.”

“Harman Professional Solutions is delighted to have Herman Pro AV as a new distribution partner,” said Philip Langley, VP of strategic partnerships for Harman in North America, in the announcement.

“With Herman’s industry leadership as a single source for commercial AV solutions, they are an ideal partner for distributing Harman’s broad range of AV solutions, including the new AMX Acendo Collaboration Systems. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with Herman.”

Herman recently entered a distribution agreement with PureLink and has deals with myriad other manufacturers, including Community Professional Loudspeakers.

Herman also offers union labor for its New York City projects through a recent acquisition of Unified Global Services, a Communications Workers of America union house.

Several Harman products—including Enova DGX 100 Series digital media switchers, NetLinx NX Series integrated controllers and Modero X Series touch panels – passed US Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) testing, and are now on the Department of Defense (DoD) Information Network (DoDIN) Approved Products List (DoDIN APL), formerly the Unified Communications Approved Products List (UC APL).

Harman opened a Los Angeles-based experience center last year that allows them to demonstrate all of their brands under one roof.

The 15,000-square-foot, multi-functional Harman Experience Center demonstrates the integration of brands, including JBL Professional, AKG Acoustics, AMX, BSS Audio, Crown International, dbx Professional, DigiTech, Lexicon Pro, Martin, Soundcraft and Studer.
