AV professionals that made it to ISE 2018 in Amsterdam may have already seen the Vaddio DocCam 20 HDBT Camera and Vaddio RoboSHOT IW PTZ camera. Those staying State-side, however, are able to check out Vaddio ’s new solutions during Almo Professional A/V’s Almo E4 AV Tour .

During the first 2018 stop on the tour outside Washington, D.C, Vaddio product marketing manager Beth Peterson demonstrated both Vaddio DocCam 20 HDBT Camera and Vaddio RoboSHOT IW PTZ camera for CI.

The Vaddio RoboSHOT IW PTZ camera, which begins shipping at the end of March, has two versions – one with clear glass and one with smart glass, Peterson says. The smart glass, she explains, makes is obvious to folks in a meeting whether the camera is on or off.

It’s “great for boardrooms, conference rooms, anywhere where the status of the camera is important to know.”

The DocCam 20 HDBT Camera, like the Vaddio RoboSHOT IW, installs easily via a single Cat 5 cable, she says.

The Vaddio RoboSHOT IW was a centerpiece at Vaddio’s ISE 2018 stand. Peterson says it’s gaining steam, in part because it’s “perfect for higher education,” adding that “we actually sell a lot in culinary schools, medical training.”

More on Vaddio RoboSHOT IW from Vaddio’s press release:

OneLINK Bridge is an industry-first crossover appliance that combines a camera extension system with an audio mixer, creating a USB bridge that connects professional AV sources to PCs – all in a single device, according to Vaddio.

It converts an audio/video source from any PTZ camera or AV switcher into a USB 3.0 media stream – allowing end users to use applications like Skype for Business, Google Hangouts, WebEx and Zoom.
