Alan Brawn Introduces Lighthouse Direct View LED Displays for Digital Signage

Published: 2018-03-22

Many in the pro AV world may not have realized the “newcomer” to the Direct View LED game wasn’t as much of a rookie as they thought. In his recent 3 Questions interview with CI editor-in-chief Tom LeBlanc, Alan Brawn heaped praise on Lighthouse Technologies, saying the company has almost 30 years under its belt in the large outdoor display game while being marketed through Panasonic.

Now, Lighthouse has an indoor fine-pitch LED division—and they’re entering this new market under their own name and being sold through Stampede Global. [related]

The Lighthouse A2.5 Dynamic series is an all-in-one direct view LED display solution for digital signage applications. Dynamic series panels are available in 89-inch and 118-inch diagonal sizes and measure less than 40mm deep. They also feature 2.5mm pixel pitch and 1,000 nit brightness.

Dynamic series displays provide the capability to change individual modules without replacing the whole panel. Each display comes with an integrated processor offering HDMI input and a built-in player with both network and USB inputs.

They also include a content management system with scheduling tools for a group of pre-designed templates to help with digital signage content creation, delivery and management. They can be wall-mounted, displayed on pedestal-style floor stands or suspended from the ceiling.

“The display industry is dominated by flat panels, but, until now, there have been a few obstacles to the widespread adoption of fine-pitch direct view LEDs—namely, the complexity of configuration, installation and price,” says Ed Whitaker, GM for Lighthouse USA.

“The Lighthouse Dynamic series overcome each of these obstacles with a configuration free solution that is easy to specify and install, as well as maintain and service. Best of all, these displays are priced competitively to other similarly sized digital signage solutions, but the Dynamic comes with everything needed to create a stunning display.”

Lighthouse is debuting its Dynamic A2.5 series displays in the Premier Mounts booth during Digital Signage Expo 2018 (1117) and NAB and will have its own booth at InfoComm 2018 (N3354).

The company is also supporting Stampede’s Big Book of AV Tour, a series of day-long conferences that provide exhibits, industry insights and training sessions for integrators and technology professionals.
